Brain workout on the go Jul 16, 2009
By Mary Ahern
"The Opinionater"
Protein Shakes is a fun exercise book that is a quick and easy way to exercise your mind muscle and give your noggin a boost and keep those neural pathways growing. Unlike puzzle books that focus on one game type like crosswords or Sudoku, Protein Shakes for the Brain covers a broader range of excises to give you a bit of a cross training workout. It's not unlike the Happy Neuron exercise that way, except you can throw it in your bag and go - great for the commuter train, summer at the beach or a bed time wind-up to the day.

Taught me a lesson Oct 01, 2010
By Acheron's Flow Kindle version:
Wow ten bucks for a weak brain exercise book. The lesson? Let a coworker play with my Kindle. I downloaded the sample for this, a mild mult choice quiz, next thing I know she tells me you have two of these. Well not before I let you play with my kindle I didn't. A ten dollar lesson. Questions were easy or of the who cares variety. Many not suited for Kindle: draw a line connecting all the red flowers? on a gray scale device. Questions were repeated. Not fun or interesting. And did I say ten bucks? Poor quality even if not on Kindle. Save your money or burn it for warmth before you buy this.
Just wanted to be clear. Mistakes happen but this book for 10 bucks is not a good buy.
75 year old mother enjoys this book Dec 31, 2011
By Beverly Skinner I purchased this book for my mother. My father died five years ago in the late stages of Alzhiemers. My mother worries about keeping her brain sharp as she ages. I purchased this book for her and she really likes it. She uses it daily. She calls it... doing her brain exercises.
